  1. I’ve been using social media for marketing my safety and security products for a couple of months now. I’ve seen my traffic increase quite a bit as well as my conversions. I think the reason this is happening is because the customers visiting my site are more comfortable doing business with me since they’ve met me on a social site or they know someone who knows me.

It can be time consuming but well worth the effort.

  3. We have been doing youtube and some others, she’s right it’s
time consuming, but you can learn a lot.Unfortunately there
are a lot of ignorant people on those sites too! Please check
    out our video>> http://www.youtube.com/user/jrgenter
thanks, and may the profits flow for all our businesses !

  4. I’m not sure what ShuffleboardGuy is referring to because I really haven’t encountered any ignorant people on the sites where I have my profile.

I have had lots of business owners, mostly MLM, ask for my friendship and then immediatly give me a sales pitch. This may be what Shuffleboard Guy is talking about.

It could be considered ignorant of correct social graces or even rude but I try to look past this and engage the business owner in friendly banter. Most of the time, they are very nice people and I’ve been able to raise awareness for my safety and security products.

Helping keep people safe is my number one priority.

  5. I am talking about some of the wierd crazy comments
on my space, youtube or others, you can read them yourself

  6. Thanks for the article on Social Bookmarking! Very informative… and timely! Keep them coming.

    Hey Guys,

I have been considering using social media marketing for some time but have yet to dive in. I am well aware of the possible benefits of social media marketing but it seems to me that it does require a very high level of ongoing maintenance to prevent it from turning from a positive experience for the customer to a negative experience.

Do you guys have any points, tips or views on how to determine what level of commitment is likely to be required?

Also, can you recommend any free or low cost blog services that are easy to integrate?

    Love your work.

  8. I can’t recommend any free or low cost blog services as I’m actually interested in that myself but I can help with social media marketing information.

Since social marketing is so new, there isn’t much out there to help us learn how to use it effectively to market our businesses.

However, I’ve found a site run by Rodger Bailey that’s great. He’s in the free phase right now so you can soak up some free knowledge and hopefully use it to market your products.

Rodger’s uses a unique “learn as you do” method; very effective. You learn as you market your business! You might want to check it out!

    Hi Debbie Morgan,

I have gone with wordpress.com for a free blog service. There are others including weebly.com and blogger.com.

The learn as you go method is not entirely ‘unique’, I have seen, and learned, from others. I know a reasonable amount about the theory social network marketing already and I know that it can be used as an effective method of building brand awareness and loyalty.

My questions are how much work will it take to set up, how much work will it need to maintain and will it be cost effective?

    Any tips?
